DDP round 3 submission

Predictions: 1 of 1 Pending   |   Tied for 1st with 340 others

DDP will bully Izzy against the cage and in the clinch. The strength difference will be insane and DDP took down and manhandled Bobby Knuckles who had all time great grappling defence.

Hope this card has Kara France vs Kape and JDM vs Shavkat, and if the ufc want to gift the  Australian fans, A Volk vs Evloev fight will be a cherry on top, but the first two fights are a must for this card

Also hope this card have tons of cool Australian/New Zealand prospect, we have the talent to make a amazing card, hope they make the stacked Australia card, If I’m going to be paying a grand for tickets I want a good card

How does Shavkat beat JDM?

Predictions: 1 of 1 Pending   |   Tied for 1st with 340 others

I know Rahkmanov was injured against Thompson, but I was very underwhelmed with his performance. If it takes you two rounds to take down Wonderboy, how are you going to compete against people with great takedown defense? He's too open on the feet and I think he loses to Usman, Leon, Maddalena and maybe even Belal.

Are you serious? Shavkat was the 1st person ever to submit Wonderboy and you're downplaying his performance with a bum leg?

Shavkat is a well round killer with a 100% finishing rate - his winnings are not contingent on getting takedowns

Most importantly he's NOT too open on the feet. His strike absorption rate is under the lower threshold

@Kniferusty
"First person to submit Wonderboy" isn't some kind of huge achievement, the guy is practically a pure kickboxer. Shavkat was taking huge hits from Neal (Who isn't even near the level of Maddalena's boxing) and losing up until the submission. He also failed 4 of 4 takedowns that fight. Shavkat has 29% takedown accuracy and 51% striking defense and he's going up against Maddalena, who has 70% takedown defense and great getups on top of 53% striking accuracy and great power (When his arm isn't broken)

So it’s not a big deal to submit Wonderboy, yet Gilbert Burns with all his BJJ credentials couldn’t do it.

You keep minimizing accomplishments that should be accredited

And FWIW I think both JDM or Shavkat can win this fight.
What I don’t like is that you find Shavkat ‘underwhelming’.

That part is just nonsense

If there's anyone in this division right now who can beat Shavkhat besides Leon its probably JDM, but I still don't like his chances. I think Shavkhat gets another finish here, especially if it's 5 rounds.

Might be the fight I'm most looking forward too right now to be honest. Really hope it gets an official booking soon.

I never called shavkat as a fighter underwhelming, I said his performance against Wonderboy was underwhelming. Credit to him for not pulling out and getting a win but the fight was a snooze fest and I would have liked to see him be much more successful in the wrestling. Decent fight iq displayed regardless

By you saying "Who has Burns submitted" you're attempting to downplay his BJJ skill level because he hasn't submitted the best of the best in MMA fights. It's the equivalent of saying Mckenzie Dern & Demian Maia's BJJ suck for the same reason.

Gilbert is a multiple time World BJJ medalist - The transition of applying successful offensive BJJ into MMA is no easy task, and is why in general that fighter archetype can only go so far. This fact alone further proves how remarkable Shavkat's sub of Wonderboy actually was.

Go watch Wonderboy's fights against Belal & Burns. Are they more exciting to you? It's the same game plan but only Shavkat gets the finish.

By your logic you're saying the only aspect of grappling that matters to you are take downs, based on the fact that Shakat didn't get multiple mat returns. That is flawed logic imo.

And to you, giving a veteran their 1st sub loss is snooze fest, which again is just nonsense to me

Lil bro doing all the mental gymnastics instead of answer a simple question lol

Who has Burns submitted? Doesn't matter his accolades in BJJ, because MMA is a whole different sport 😂😂

You just aren't addressing anything I've said. I showed you the stats that prove Shavkat is open on the feet and has bad wrestling, I explained that Burns is NOT a good submission artist, but you're still insisting that submitting Wonderboy is some monumental achievement. (Which has nothing to do with Maddalena) It's not like he KOd Holloway.

If Shavkhat was underwhelming in a fight he won by submission with little effort than what was JDM's last performance? Lucky? He was down the first 2 rounds on 2 judges scorecards.
